A financial company was actively seeking to replace its main network firewall, which had reached end of life. Given the technical complexity of its internal network infrastructure, this task was well beyond a simple equipment replacement. Moreover, the company is also connected to other branch offices, including an office in Rodrigues, as well as to other financial and banking sectors and to a disaster recovery site. On top, given the sensitivity of this sector, the migration had a tight timeframe.
To address this, the banking company decided to deploy the latest high-performance next-generation firewall, the FortiGate 1800F series. The firewall was procured and deployed by my.t’s team of certified expert engineers.
A professional team at my.t diligently worked on this migration with advanced configurations and testing on the new firewall, which started weeks before the cutoff date. Security was at the core of this migration, with latest industry practices like, Intrusion Prevention, MFA, Application Control and Antivirus protection, and IPSEC tunnelling, amongst others. Resiliency end-to-end testing, including fail-over testing, was also undeniably part of this challenging migration.
The team has successfully completed this project in the shortest timeframe possible taking into account the constraints which the Bank was facing.
